Worth it?
who has a twelve string? was it worth the money, i have about 400 dollars in my account right now, but im not really willing to dish out that much. i played a 12 string yamaha at my local guitar store today and i really liked it. it costs about 320. the real question im trying to ask is... do you play it enough to justify the money you spent? any limitations to the stuff you can play with it? just looking for some opinions...

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

i love my 12 string.... beautiful... the only thing i think that you cannot play on it is fast solos... otherwise its fine... you can play stuff like TB or the stone fine.

hard choice there...mandolin is fairly easy to pick up...the buddy who lent me the 12 also has a mandolin
banjo would be cool, but I would stick with the good old acoustic...but thats me...if you think you will get use out of the banjo, get it...if you are persuing guitar, go for the 12...

the thing is with 12 strings, is they ALL sound amazing...less you hve the cash, the higher price just equals better than great...
most any 12 = 100% cool
pricier 12's = 110% cool
...so don't necissarily buy an expensive one...

i played twelve string for the first time on sunday and played JTR, sounded frikken great!! soooo much different than a regular 6-er....grey street sound good two...JTR was meant for the 12-er though, what a fun song....but my only problem with the 12-er....re-stringing it! i think i'm too lazy to want to do that....it seems like it'd be a real b!tch
