So is there only a 110 in this series? I like dreadnought, but I'm curious if there will be any 114, 114c, 115, 115c, etc...

ive heard good things about this guitar, and thats a pretty good price for a Taylor. but if it were me i wouldnt get it just cuz its an affordable Taylor. if you play it and you like it and want to get it, then do it. but if your goin to buy it just for its name and not how it sounds, then it seems like a waste of money to me.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I have played a 110 and it sounds great for the money. However, I think it wiser to save up for a 310 which sounds better enough to cost $400-500 more(approx $900). The 110 that I played at GC cost about $550. That isn't too bad for a Taylor, sure as hell beats any NEW Martin in that price range. But, is it worth it, or is it worth it to wait a little longer to save up for a 310+???paywad927 wrote:ive heard good things about this guitar, and thats a pretty good price for a Taylor. but if it were me i wouldnt get it just cuz its an affordable Taylor. if you play it and you like it and want to get it, then do it. but if your goin to buy it just for its name and not how it sounds, then it seems like a waste of money to me.

although I have yet to play a 110, the laminate back turns me off...and the lower level Taylors NEVER appealed to me over a Martin at that price...if you want a good lower level Taylor, they have the new 400 series with the Indian Rosewood back and ES...I haven't got to strum one of those either, but the only person who can make the better decission is you...you know what your playing warrants...if you think it a waste, then chances are, you shouldn't get it...but that 400 series...sounding nice to me for the price...

Are you sure that 400 series comes with the ES???? Or is that just a custon order you have heard of. I checked Taylor's web site last night in the FAQ section about pick ups it says that only the 500+ series will have ES. Not to try to prove you wrong, as you know I am interested in this very much since I am looking at buying a new Taylor in the 300-500 series, but could you elaborate on where/who you heard this from???

heh. yeah, i don't think taylor's posted any information about the 400 series with the ES on it, which is surprising because i'm sure a lot of people would be interested in it.
and yes, i'm sure, considering i played it at a local guitar store.
like i said, it's a limited summer run, so it might be a little hard to find, but i'm sure you could call around and find one.
but they do exist! and it was very very sweet. the guy let me plug in to a California Blonde and i messed around with a used DL-4 too...sat there for an hour...thank goodness it was a slow day.
it's a great purchase, imo, so g'luck on finding one!
