best sounding strings for a 230 $ ibanez

yea ive been playin the gtar for a few months now and i just wanted to know what the best strings i have elixirs rigth now but i think they have a cheap sound on this guitar but i could be wrong so if anyone had any suggestions on strings that would be dandy

what kind of elixirs? nanoweb or polyweb?

if you think elixirs sound "cheap" I suggest you try some uncoated strings.. any.. and see if you like that better. Elixirs aren't nearly as bright as uncoated strings.. beyond that the guitar itself can potentially "cheap" sound; I'm not trying to slight your guitar, but there are reasons that people spend thousands on acoustic guitars.

I probably have pretty much the same guitar as you, and Ibanez AW50. I have tried a few different types of strings, Martin, DR, D'Addario. I have found the the best (IMO) are the D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Lights.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

i was just gonna post this....i've stopped using coated strings....these d'addarios are so much brighter.

I really don't know if any of the strings I have tried have been coated. I played some taylors at a guitar shop and they had elixirs on them, i think they were coated.
