Ha no I bought my recording gear from GC on their memorial day sale and that is probably the only day of the year I will ever buy anything from that place. I got the guitar from Sam Ash in Cincinnati. They had it marked at 2200 and the guy I talked to Friday said he could definitely get it down to 2100 with no tax if I was willing to take it out of the store that day and maybe down to 2000. I went back today with 2000 and told them that was as high as I could go and they sold it to me for 2000 even with no tax or anything. I got the case and some polish, strings, and picks to go with it. I will probably be recording all day tomorrow with this guy.

It smells wonderful. As soon as I can find someone to let me borrow a digital camera I will post some pics. Unless there is a way to take pictures on my phone and get them online without having a usb?

My only issue at all so far is that the strings on this thing scratch like crazy. He said these are brand new and would last a while but I think im going straight to the elixers

I can't believe Im saying this....but I might return this guitar. I love the guitar without a doubt, but spending two grand on it was my whole budget and I really need a new amp and I want to get a peddle board started.... I don't know what to doooooooo

What model would you be downgrading to?

Also, how big is the urgency to get the amp/pedal board? Can you start saving again and get them down the line?

Im not sure about what I would be downgrading too. I really like some larrivees but I barely had enough money to buy the HD35. It was kind of an impulse buy because I didn't think I'd ever find another one for 2000. I would say I really needed an amp before a guitar. My other guitar is a fender dg-20 that I hated for the longest time until I made some adjustments on it. It sounds pretty good now but after having the HD-35 for two weeks I reaaaally dont want to go back to playing the fender. After that comes the pedal board. What would be ideal is getting another highish end guitar, an amp, and a DL-4 or Boss Loop Station for what I paid for the Martin or less.
