Hey guys
Been listening to the RCMH CD a whole lot these past two weeks. On songs like Bartender where Dave and Tim are playing in Drop D they're able to get their guitars to have this low rumbling buzz sound when they hit an open D chord. I was wondering if it was like a baritone guitar or maybe thicker gauge strings to get it to sound as warm and full as they do.
Also wondering if you guys know what type of strings Dave tends to use as a standard or if you guys have any suggestions over my Nanowebs. I'm using .011's right now and am wondering if I should go heavier gauge for some of that warmth and depth in the guitar sound I mentioned earlier. Any suggestions?

I know Tim uses gauge 10 and then replaces the low E with gauge 12 or 13...
Don't know about Dave...

You're not going to get as much of a "rumble" with 11 extra lights. Move up to 12's, that's normal light strings.
