Advice on selling guitars
I'm not sure if this is the right forum. Did some searching and couldn't find anything.
I want to sell some guitars that I never use and I'm not sure what's the best way to do it. I wanted to get your opinions on several things:
Ebay vs. Guitar store
Pointers about shipping guitar
Percentage of retail Guitar Stores will give you
Thanks in advance.

I joined the acousticguitarforum a while ago and have bought/sold several guitars on there without a single problem. I would suggest doing that, but people might hesitate to buy if you just join to sell a guitar (in other words, it might help to build up a reputation by participating first).
If it doesn't sell quickly on there I use ebay. The beauty of ebay is when people get into bidding wars and overpay for a guitar because they don't like losing. I bought a trumpet locally one time for $300, decided to sell it on ebay. Had a buy it now at $300, and it sold for $500...I think buy it now goes away if people get within a certain range of your reserve or the buy it now price....I could be wrong though.
I would only sell to a store as a last resort if you really needed the cash. I would be a poor business decision for them to pay you the fair market price for it.
