do a search man
I have answered this question a bunch of times and don't want to leave anything out 8)
Bottom Line, pending on the price and what playing level you are on (I got one in the rough learning process...my first guitar that wasn't first my dads
)...has alot of punch and great attack to it...great playability...but not what alot of people would want in a guitar...you can get a nicer Martin for the price...I personally don't care much for the 300-500 series Taylors...anywho...do a search

.... anyway, you might wanna order something from buffalo bros, save up more money, go for the upgrade policy.

ON SALE FOR THATDMBFan63 wrote:I am curently looking at a $1,589 gibson chet... ..on sale, but i am hoping that they will reduce the price around this time next year also... I just like the feel of chets... martins are killer, but just not my style...

I payed $900 for mine just because somebody else had it (and kept very nice care of it) before me...I wouldn't buy one for over $1,000...but thats just me I guess...believe me, you can use that money to get a much nicer guitar...one with a soundhole!

the j-45 is an awesome guitar.
$1500 seems to be a normal price for the chet, but like fire said, i wouldn't pay more than $1000 for it. i saw it for $990 new once...

Well I own 2 Gibsons, but I am not afraid to expand my interests...don't slight other guitars because you wanna identify with Gibson...i mean Epiphones are pretty weak...I own one...but Gibson does demand some respect in the electric category...my LP DELUXE LTD REISSUE is the best electric I have ever played...I think Gibson has some real nice Jumbos too, but I would never pay that ammount for a solid body acoustic...I mean what you hear of Dave is a jerry rigged one...just my opinions...
