why would 96 be worth more than a newer model?

Duuuuuuuude, its the year crash came out, thats gotta mean something :D

To answer your question, i dont think the year is very important, at least not nearly as important as condition. Most people would take a '96 in great condition over a 2006 thats beat to shit.
