I was curious to see if anyone has ever changed the bridge on their guitars. My first guitar is a $300 Yamaha and the bridge pin holes are worn out. I wanted to use this guitar for alternate tunings while leaving my main guiatar in standard. So I was wondering if it would be cost effective. Any help would be much appreciated. Peace

Grock, where are you? He's probably your best bet, hopefully he'll see your post.

i never changed the bridge on my guitar, but i did sand it down just a bit. if you do that, you should be VERY careful.

changing the bridge could be expensive. is it really that bad? i find it hard to believe you've worn down the bridge to the point of needing replacement.
i hate to give this advice but your just gonna have to "bring it to a luthier" to find out.

I wore out the pin holes by putting the pins in too hard. it was my first guitar.
