Amp Help.. Somewhat Urgent

Unread post by Yakko » Thu Jan 18, 2007 9:49 pm

I was at the GC today, and they had a "Crate KX100" amplifier there.

Apparently, they usually sell for around 470 dollars. But they have two left, and I can get one for $200.

I was planning on using this to amplify several microphones and maybe a guitar. I also have a keyboard, that I would amplify as well.. Do you think it's a good deal?

Thanks a lot guys!

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

Looks like mixed reviews, though technically it looks capable of doing all the things you want it to do...though it only has one xlr input for a mic.

That sounds like a lot of things to be running through an amp, you might be better off with a PA system for the simple reason that you can pan instruments right and left for better sound.

If you go with the amp everything will be coming out of one speaker and it may get muddy.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
