okay #1 I had no clue where to post this

the whole reason i am starting this is because i am wanting to learn how to solo but i need to clarify some things

1) how do u find out the key of the song??? is it the first chord or note that is played?

2) when you find the key (lets say that it is G)... do you only solo in different G scales or can u mix through many different ones (depending on the key)

3) when u find out what scales u can play in lets say G D A (I dont even know if those work) can u just freely go through them or should u wait until the end of a phrase and only start in the next scale on a specific note?

4) can someone please answer those few questions knowing that i dont know that much?
