Larrivee OM-03SP with K&K -- SOLD

Unread post by Guyute » Wed Nov 22, 2006 11:47 am

Hey folks, many of you probably don't know me, but I'm a member of various DMB and guitar-related forums and have been a sometime lurker here for a while now. Someone at another forum suggested I post this FS ad here, too so here I am.

I'm selling this fairly new Larry (I bought it new at the beginning of the summer) because I've got a new guitar on the way. I have it on craigslist, but figured I'd offer it here for less.

Top is sitka, B/S are sapele. This was a limited edition and I'm told only 30 of them were made in OM size, but I've never investigated that.

I bought this at the beginning of the summer and used it for gigging, but tried to baby it. Upgraded to a Colosi bone saddle, but I've got the original Tusq, too. If you want the bone, let me know and we'll discuss. It does come with a K&K Pure Western Mini installed and I've been very happy with the pickup's performance. Add a Pure XLR preamp and it's extra sweet :)

Price is $750.00 shipped (or local pickup for $700.00)

Now for the only problem. There is a ding in the top, but it's nothing major and as far as I can tell, doesn't penetrate the finish. I was taking the guitar off one night and hit it on my vocal mic. Pic of the ding:

I almost cried when I saw that :( Anyway, that's the only flaw I can find with the guitar. Comes with OHSC (great condition - it still has the model label on the bottom), truss rod tool and the registration card.

PM or email me with serious offers or inquiries. I'm pretty firm on the price, but may be willing to work something out. Not interested in trades! Contact me with any questions.

Thanks Kahn. It's surprising how much I preferred the sapele to the standard mahogany OM-03. Not only is it visually more appealing, it's richer in the overtones than mahogany, too. Less fundamental, if that makes sense.

It's suited me well, but I'm upgrading :)

Guyute is solid, I'll vouch for him. Buy with confidence.

im seriously pissed off, because this is a great price, for the guitar I want and I am broke, and because of the move my parents are going through and everything, plus my other relatives in financial problems, I have no way of getting the money, since i have no one to loan it to me.

Well, I'm not in a huge hurry, so if you manage to come up with the cash, it might still be around. And if you're in CA, you can probably waive the shipping charge. Where in CA are you, Matt?

Well, like I said, if you come up with the cash, let me know. I'm mainly selling it because it's going to be taking up space once the other arrives ;)

BTW, I forgot to thanks taylordb for the vouch!

Depends on how you want it shipped. Ground to Kentucky shouldn't cost more than about $35.00 or so (if it does, I'll make up the difference).

They're for buying guitars, of course. Who needs books ;)
