It only has one pickup. I'd think that would limit your tone, but I'm no electric expert.
I'd probably save up for a "real" Les Paul.
Or, if you're poor, go for a high-end Epi version.

try getting a gibson les paul studio

i found mine new for 900 $ canadian...it's almost the "same" as the regular and standard les paul's except for the bindings and some other details
