My sound guy is really good at this stuff, I am not, I just write the songs and play them lol
What other components (XLR's for ex.) will I need to get the most use of the new inner ear monitor system I just received?
If our engineer mixes all of our intruments and vocals through a mixing consol (sound board) and usually I hear only my guitar and vocals through a floor wedge, how would I connect the wireless receiver/mixer properly to hear my vocals, guitar and some drums?

Thanks, I just want to know what to bring to our gig.
Thanks
C

Can't tell you exactly without knowing the details of your entire setup, but almost any board will have auxiliary returns. Your sound guy should be able to hook up your PSM to one of the aux return outputs (it could be 1/4" or XLR on the board, I don't know), and then have you put in the IEM and get the levels on the aux return channel exactly as you want them. That's the gist of what i would do.
edit: so, assuming the board has aux returns, theoretically all you would need is the cable to connect the board to the PSM transmitter. i can't tell you what kind of cable you need without knowing what board it is though.

Thanks for the tip man, you were pretty much spot on, my sound guy is a genius, he laughed when I questioned his abilities lol, he setup it up in a minute or two and this system works so fucking well, Shure makes the best products I gotta tell you all that.
It cost $600.00 for it, this is the cheapest PSM wireless system Shure makes and it's worth every penny. I tried Nady PSM's and they just sucked ass.
(Actually, one of our friends/fans bought it for me, how nice is that?)
