Ok, so i was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a decent reasonably priced electric guitar...
I've been playing guitar for about six years, but only seriously the last couple. I've always prefered the sound of acoustics over electrics, however, i bought a Squire Fender Strat copy a few years ago when i was still struggling with barre chords, but after picking up a decent solid wood acoustic gave the electric to a friend on long term loan because frankly, it sounded pants.
Now that i've gotten to grips with the technical aspects of playing a guitar, i'd like to expand my library of guitars. If i'm not listening to Dave, it's Pearl Jam or Tool, and i'd like to pick something up that can kick some ass without costing a fortune so i can experiment. My knowledge of what makes a decent elec is pretty much zero!
I'm not really interested in buying a new guitar, i'd rather get something older and of a higher quality. I'm currently bidding on an '89 Ibanez RG550 on eBay because it costs peanuts, but has anyone played or got anything that they consider an outstanding elec compared to its peers???
Electric guitar question - Recommendations anyone?

Er... Really? Was she.. Er... Naked?
I'd say they best guitar out there for starting out is a used MIM Fender Strat.
They are solid guitars but a little lacking in the electronics but those are easily upgraded. Strats are really the most versitile electric guitar out there, so you can set it up for whatever sound you are going for.
plus you can get one for about $200-$300.
