Im selling my epiphone chet atkins SST. it has been my gigging guitar for a little more than a year now and it really has been great to me. I play the sucker in a full band out of a 15 watt marshall practice amp and it sounds great and its loud enough to cut through all the other members of the band. I just feel like its time to upgrade for me because i plan on doing alot of solo stuff or small group stuff, not so much full band, and i think an acoustic electric is whats gonna be best for me.
This thing isnt cherry, i played it on almost a daily basis for a year, but the only things noticable about it are the pick marks where the pickguard would be and one literally pencil tip sized spot on the side of the headstock where the black paint isnt there and you can see the dark wood color. You probably wouldnt even notice it unless i pointed it out ot you because i didnt notice it until it until i specifically looked the guitar over for blemishes.
I added a strap button to the back of the nech at the joint that works beautifully and i bought some nice gold and pearl knobs to replace those shitty plastic ones it came with. Ive done all the work on this guitar myself and it plays perfectly. I really believe that it would be a great guitar for anyone looking for something to play with a band or an electric player looking to come over to the acoustic side. its a very versatile guitar and ive used it in alot of places that i wouldnt have expected it to work in.
