I want a new guitar.

Unread post by onid41 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 8:12 pm

Well im always babbling how i want a Taylor or Martin, but my income, or lack there of, prevents me from ever acquiring my dream guitar anytime soon. So the meantime im going to have to settle for a Christmas present or a birthday present, but i can't be spending that much money.

I'm looking for some recommendations on a good guitar in the price range of $300-$500 right now becuase i kinda don't want to be spending that much on a guitar right now anyways. I just want a new one to replace this shitty semi-beater of a guitar i have now.

I haven't gone to the guitar store yet to check out any guitars so this is really the first step in making my decisions toward a new guitar.

Any help/suggestions/insults would be greatly appreciated.

takamine makes good guitars in that price range
u'll get no taylor for that price or just a crappy martin

the only suggestion i can think is: go to a guitar center, play some guitar and see which sounds better for u. i'd try some takamine ;)

i'm sure half of the ppl will tell u to try takamine and alvarez...it's right
i'd try some yamaha too. i know yamaha acoustic guitars have been sucking for a long time, but, like i said some time ago, i played some new one (2005 series if i'm right) and it sounded good. give it a try

Takamine EG544 - $499.99. Go play it at the guitar center.

I just bought one, and once I get it adjusted it's gonna kick ass.

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

I've got a Tak EF341SC, it's about a grand at G.C., I LOVE it, but my first guitar was a Jasmine by Tak, the starter pack for like, 150 bucks, and even THAT was a decent sounding guitar. Takamine makes some damn fine guitars, in ALL price ranges, from $100 to $1500. Go play some.

i think if you keep your eye peeled you can get it for cheaper, but I wouldnt want to pay more than $550 after shipping, maybe $600 shipped with a nice case.
