Hey,
I know its a long shot, but I'm interested in buying a used (but in good condition) Gibson ebony Chet Atkins SST. If anyone has one that they are willing to sell, please feel free to e-mail me at Jacobie423@comcast.net and we can work something out.

And also, if anyone knows where I might be able to find a used Chet Atkins (besides ebay), any information would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you're pretty set against buying from ebay, but I've always had very good luck purchasing instruments from the site.
Also, have you considered the Epiphone Chet? It's supposed to be comparable but without the expensive price tag.

I heard the electronics in the epi suck. so for a guitar you cant really play too well unplugged, it wouldnt be the best investment to get the epi.

How about trying an online pawn shop?

BUMP. I'm getting kind of desperate and eBay hasn't had much of a selection lately.

I'm looking for a Black/Ebony Gibson Chet Atkins SST in good condition. I know they've been sold on here before, so if anyone is looking to sell or maybe knows someone else, PM me or just post here.

The Epi is NOT comparable to the Gibson.

A few months ago I would have probably sold you mine because I was thinking about selling it to buy another acoustic/electric, but now I'm in a new band. If I wind up quitting the band or it dissolves on its own, I'll drop you a line!
