Changing Strings
Changing Strings
I am going to change my strings today but I have a quick question before I do. Should I take one string off at a time and then replace it to keep the tension on the neck? Or it doesnt matter if I just take them all off at once and then replace them?
I'm pretty sure that the tension on the neck doesn't play a huge part in successfully changing strings. I usually just take them all off, clean up the next really quickly, and then throw the new ones on, and i've never had a problem.
There might be someone who has much more technical knowledge than I do though.

I read frets.com and it really helped me a lot. That is a really good site. They said it doesnt matter and it is just a false tale that if you take all the strings off at once you will shock the neck unless you let the guitar sit with no strings for a really long time. Its so much easier to do it that way.
