I'm selling my Ibanez artcore soon, and I'm looking to buy an acoustic electric. Due to money constraints mainly, I've decided (pretty much) to get a Takamine, because from my experience they're excellent instruments for reasonable prices.
Anyways, I went to a local guitar store and compared a few models this afternoon, and these were my observations:
EG456SC
-grand concert body, strap bolt on the body, low action, plays very well, list $699 sell price $489
EG523SC
jumbo-ish body, no strap bolt on body, higher action, list $856 sell price $599.
G "Nex" Shape (no model number??)
grand concert body, no strap bolt on body, low action, plays VERY well. list $719 sell price $502.
Anyways, after playing those and several other Takamines and Washburns, I'm pretty much decided on a Takamine with the grand concert-ish body.
Sooo...
1.) Does anyone have any experience with any of those ^^ guitars?
2.) Any recommendations, Takamine or otherwise?
Thanks a lot...~Brian
EDIT: by grand concert shape, I'm referring to the shape of Taylor x14 guitars, ie the Grand Auditorium shape.
