Question
I have a takamine-jasmine...cheap, but i think it sounds pretty good for the price. Is a Martin or better takamine going to be a lot different in sound quality... should i get a new one?

My first guitar was a Jasmine by Takamine, and currently I play a Tak EF341SC (my third guitar). I've gotta tell ya, I've still got my first Tak, the sound isn't bad at all, but my current Tak is my baby. It cost about a grand, I got it for much less, what with trade in and gift certificates and Christmas cash, and the sound and playability is really good for the money. Like the above poster said, I wouldn't go with a low end "high end guitar" like a Martin or a Taylor. Martins and Taylors and the like, if you want that quality, you're gonna pay quite a bit. But yeah, Tak's get better as price goes up, as do most guitars. I love my Tak. I'm a Takman.
But I still bust out the old Jasmine once in a great while, not a bad sounding guitar for like, 150 bucks.

I have the opportunity to buy a hardly used Jasmine (not sure on the model) with a hard shell case for $125, I don't really have the hard cash for it, but should I?Jenns4Ever9501 wrote:My first guitar was a Jasmine by Takamine, and currently I play a Tak EF341SC (my third guitar).
