Does anyone know what that solid black thing that is inside of the soundhole of i believe its his martin. Also what is the function for it. How does it affect the sound?

thanks for that. its a really old thread i probably would never have found it.
Im in a small town called Greencastle, PA. Right on the state line with maryland. 10 miles from hagerstown if you know where that is. Near gettysburg, semi- near hershey and harrisburg.

I live really close to there man, thats crazy. I used to live in Hagerstown but recently moved to Sharpsburg.

hey casteller its a feedback buster..dave has one in all of his guitars..it helps prevent those high pitched tones wen its connected to the amp or next to a mic.

Yea I get stuff at Carpenters. Sometimes I go down to Frederick and go to Make N Music but for the most part I go to Carpenters.
I thought I was the only one around here on the boards.

Probably even less than that. I can get to the northern end of Hagerstown in no more than 20 minutes. Maybe 15.
I went to Carpenters music store once. I didnt really care for it. Ive always been meaning to go to Make N Music in Frederick, but i havent went yet. Probably because I dont have the money to buy and guitars now, so i need to stay away before i sell my car.
