Fender Acoustic Amp

Unread post by little ants734 » Wed Jul 13, 2005 6:20 pm

Hey, I am getting amp am soon and I was looking at the Fender Acoustasonic 30 DSP. I think it sounds good, but I was wondering everybody's thoughts about this amp are. If you need the site or what not to check it out its http://fender.com/products/search.php?partno=2213300010

Also I'm getting a Gold NatPlus pickup, will that still sound good with this amp, or does it matter what tje amp is? Thanks a bunch

how much are you paying for it, if its a steal get it, if not dont, it gets hiss under normal conditions. get a yorkville AM100 amazing amp.

i looked at the fender this one blows it away and its the same price if not cheaper.

So I took a look at that amp. It seems like a pretty good amp, I have never heard it before and I see no price listing. What do you mean if its steal get it? Whats the difference between steal and not steal, I dont get what you mean by it gets "hiss" under normal conditions. I am paying around $400 or less for the Fender Acoustasonic 30 DSP.
Thanks film I appreciate you helping me. If you could take a look at this information (Spectifications for the Fender Amp) http://fender.com/products/view_specs.p ... nic+30+DSP I would really love that seeing as you will know more about this stuff than me. So if you could look at that and let me know what you think. The amp seems to have nice affects like reverb for both the guitar and the mic, I could be wrong but like i said i dont know to much about this stuff. Thanks again man.

Oh Lord. If you're spending $400 on it, then get an Ultrasound. $200 for a 30-watt, and it's hands-down the best acoustic amp available at the moment.

the yorkville has all that and more, it has a notch filter, wich will cut feedback if you get some, turn the knob, and it will kill it. the yorkville has more effects, and it has 2 banks so each effect has an alternate. the fender is $400 for 30 watts? well the yorkville is 100 for the same price. when i said get the fender if its a steal i meant like if you could get it really cheap, full price isnt worth it. i thought about getting it, but the yorkville is the shit man. ive experianced a lot of hiss playing on them, as well as HC on here who has a 914 so thats the amp. never gotten it on mine, but when i do get a little fuzz you mess with the gain settings ( you can choose between active and passive pickups with it) and the volume.

oh and the ultrasound brock posted is a great amp, but given the extra advantages the yorkville or the fender has for the money theyre better, with effects and such. but yeah yorkville

all in all for the $$ the yorkville is the way to go. we can talk on aim too if you have any more questions.

I bought the acoustasonic junior 40w, and its beautiful. I got it for 800 (AUS$) down from 1300, so I guess it was a steal. The Fender effects are great and the sound is really crisp. Only thing.. make sure you get a footswitch included to switch the effects. I didn't realise its not standard when I bought it, and they're really hard to find over here.
cheers

Evey Hammond: I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

It's just a simple switch you can press with your foot while playing, ie- footswitch! :-)
