Hey, when you go to rasied B strings (setup) and such, does your guitar need a setup because essentially you are putting lighter gauge strings where your thicker strings.. I was just wondering thanks.

that is not true lol.

I was looking at that, but I still dont know completely if you need to adjust your truss rod ect because of the string change. I would assume no.

cant you just have and extra an A string for the sixth , then a normal e string for the 5th then tune the G string to f#
that would work wouldnt it or would that fuck up the guitar?
sorry i know nothing about tunings other name half step, and drop D and C and open E

if you put a normal E string on the 5th, A on 4th etc... I believe that they will be an octave lower than normal raised B tuning.

I have one of my guitars in raised B.
You don't have to do anything special, just put the strings in the correct position and tune it accordingly.

What that meant was that you cannot get a reference point because the low E string will be different. I don't exactly remember why I put that but it probably had something to do with taking all the strings off the guitar first and then having no reference point on the first string installed...everything else you obviously can
