This doesn't help anyone Kahn.

The T5 looks cool, kinda like Chet. I think I'll go to GC and play one for a little while.

I played a T5. In my opinion, for the price, I would much rather have a Chet. Not to mention, to me, the Chet sounds much better anyways.

Other than being feedback resistant the T5 and Chet aren't really comparable. I could be wrong but isn't the Chet designed soley for an acoustic tone?

Simply put, the T5 isn't impressive. I plugged it in at Guitar Center with a huge smile, and then started playing it, and it wasn't that cool for 2000+ dollars. :?

You turn on the gain and it sounds like a real meaty electric. No one would know that it was an acoustic.

the t5 pisses me off to be honest, taylor treats it and advertises it as though it filled some niche that has been missing in the guitar world for decades. Its just a chet with an electric pickup and a switch that blends the two. Its an average acoustic and an average electric. im not impressed by it. It looks fuckin awesome, but i could build a better version of it. and its WAAAAAAAAAY overpriced. as are most taylor, martins and all mass production acoustics. (except for larrivee, my LOVER)
