Your personal favorite settings for Boss DD-3 Digital Delay
Anyone have any "favorite" settings for their delay pedal that they'd care to share?

c_tietze...i had a chance to play with the delay pedal for the first time on Monday. my buddy is borrowing it from his friend for the summer. however, the batteries that kid had were just about gone, and after 2 or 3 minutes of playing they died. ill get back to you once i get a chance to experiment more.
you may have already seen this, but Boss has a sweet audio demo page for its pedals. click on the "Audio Demo" button on this page:

yup same here. Just got my DD5 about a month ago. Love it. Glad i made the change. Now i got a figure out a way to get rid of my DD3. Propably ebay im thinking.GuitarGuy305 wrote:I don't think many people use the DD-3. I owned one for a while about 8 years ago, but I upgraded to a DD-5 soon after that. I found the DD-3 very limiting.
Tip 1: Set the delaytime somewhere along 9-12 o'clock on the long setting, depending on your playing speed. Feedback at 0 and effect volume at max. Now, play a note and play a second note as the first note repeats. Instant harmony! Great technique for buffing up the sound, works best with major scales.
Tip 2: Max feedback and set delaytime as you want. Play something and its going to repeat indefinitely, now bend over and adjust the delaytime while the delay is repeating. Wacky sounds. Its going to pitch the signal to whatever you set it to. If you try the hold function with this and hit a harmonic, then hold so you get a decent looped sound of that note you can create a violin type of sound... More of a kazooie maybe.. Hehe.
This is extra fun with your voice going through the delay, go Aahh and slow it down.. Hehe.

For all my posts, just add "I think" in the beginning and "in my opinion" in the end. Now shut up!
