I love Gibson acoustics. They have such a warm feel to them. I've never heard anyone bash one on these boards. Especially the Jumbos, remarkable guitars.

From what I've read, the newer stuff is just really inconsistent. I can't really comment from personal experience but thats just what I've heard. It seems like a lot if performers use older ones, also once an acoustic is amplified all that really matters is that it doesn't feedback because they lose alot of their "personality". If that makes sense.

I have played a Gibson Hummingbird and it felt and sounded great...of course, for $2800 it should.

I actually like em. they're really heavy duty with thick tops backs and sides. that can hurt tone somewhat but they're still pretty good. i think they're a bit pricey, but still worth it if you like jumbos

the high-end gibson's (j-45 and such) are fantastic. lower-end, don't go near.

The songwriter deluxe's are amazing guitars. I had a chance to buy a custom shop one with koa back and sides and i didn't, i've kicked my own ass everyday since.
