Martin HD-28VE

Unread post by ForksonKnives » Thu Apr 07, 2005 10:53 pm

Apparently this is something new:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/fg= ... _id/129197

Comes with a fishman ellipse blend amplification electronics system. Anybody know anything about this pickup/condenser mic? Would it be worth it to get this one from martin which would be risk-free getting it put in.... or should one just get the HD-28V and get a better pickup installed by a third party?

just get it with a rare eath pickup and buy an aura. Much simpiler and you can use the aura for other guitars too.

I would personally just buy a HD-28V and have a certified martin technician install whatever pick up you want. I personally don't like the rare earth and sound hole pickups at all. I would just go with a Fishman Nat II and if you can afford the Aura that would be a great addition.

Whatever you do don't buy anything from musicians friend.
