Buying a Martin D15 - Payment options?
Well, I'm in college and when I try to save up for the martin d15 that I want, I always find myself using the money that I have saved back for something else. I talked to someone at Guitar Center and they said a lot of places have payment plans with no interest rate and that I might look into going that way. So, I got on Sam Ash's website and they have a deal where you can pay for the guitar in 15 different payments(each payment per month without interest). So, i go to apply to do it and they denied me because I do not have a credit history. I have never owned a credit card so I haven't had the chance to build any credit.
I have no problem with paying $50/month for the martin guitar, its just the fact that i have no credit history. So my question is, is there anything else that i can do similar to this without having to have a credit history? Hopfully there is...if not i guess I will have to keep on trying to save up.

Its amazing how hard it is to get your first credit card. I have applied for Master Card, Discover Card and a Citi Card all under a student application and they still denied me.....i pull in about $600/month from my job and am a full time student and they still denied me. So, I will probly have to start out getting a card under my parents name and then try to get my own. Oh, well i will get my Martin d12 sometime.
The first thing my dad made me do when I turned 18 was apply for a credit card. He owns a mortage company so he knows the importance of credit, and boy am I happy I actually did what he told me for a change. But if you're starting to build credit, one of the easiest ways is to get a joint card with one of your parents. Or put the cable bill or something under your name (given you're old enough). In a few months, apply for a Visa or something.

Fender6String, i'm guessing you're pretty young.... ask your dad for a loan and pay him off monthly.
