Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

theres plenty of choices... you can have a pickup system installed, or you can just use a soundhole pickup. whats your price range?

just get a 241E, it has a form of the expression system in it, has taylors tone controlls, and its only $200 more than a 214. so itll equal the cost of getting one added, without then cutting out a chunk of your guitar.

How large are the venues you are playing at? If they are small(low volume) you can get some very natural sounding pickups for a reasonable price, but If you plan to play louder you will have to shell out the cash.

Maybe he doesn't have the extra 214 at this moment, and a more viable option would be to get them installed down the road.

i know itd be good, but getting the fishman is like $120, and the preamp will be some, and installation will be a good bit.... itd be cheaper and sound the same if not better to get the pickups preinstalled.
