I do recommend the MObile PreUSB. It was sold out, i searched different locations at got the last one at daddys junky music. This is a good unit. It runs by USB 2.0, the phantom power seems really good and recording goes well. I run all my audio through it. This unit is a good start.

Make sure you ask the return policy just in case you dont like it ;-)

does it come with everything necessary to hook up to your computer? or do you have to buy any accessories?

all in the box. but that does not include microphone assesories like mic cables, clips, and stands.

if you use a mic, you have to use XLR cables because only XLR inputs have the mic preamp.

yes it is. GO check it out man. Go to the nearest store. Yes, Usb 2.0 is in there as well. Might not so well if you dont have usb 2, it might note provide enough phantom power.
