Line 6 DL4

Unread post by schubox » Sat Dec 25, 2004 12:43 am

Ok so I got the DD6, and I like it and all, but it just didn't have the exact effect I was looking for. I am more looking to get the longer loops, as heard by Howie Day, would a Line 6 DL4 used with the DD6 be a good way to get this accomplished? I only ask this because I got some cash for Christmas and am looking at this as a possibility
I think people think that maybe theres more chance I'll play if they sound mad and I'm like you guys are just pretending, I know why you go to the gym its for the steam room big boy, come in here with that '41' stuff, I see through that tiger DM 3-19

I'm sure it will. I think that's Tim's setup . . .

Just checked. He has a DD-5 and a DL4. So with your DD-6 and DL4, you have one step on Tim lol . . . not playing wise, though ;) .
Yes, I am in a box

please, i won that fool. I was jsut wondering if this would help with the loops and delays. I think I should read up on it a lot more. The DD6 is nice, but I am looking for longer loops and better control of them, and I know Howie and Tim both have them and use them for loops, so I think it be useful.

on another note, what's the best way to set up a pedal board? Just get a piece of wood and screw them in? I guess I could try to find some pics online

i would make one from wood and put velcro on the pedals and board, so they're removable and re-arrangable

it looks like $250 is the cheapest I can find this online unless I go the eBay route, but I am hesitant doing this. I would never buy it used, but there are a couple that are supposedly new with the AC adapter that are going for around $220, you think its just the safer bet to go with a new one from a company i know I can trust, like musicians friend?

make one

and john fruciante also uses the dl4, and it will do a much better job of looping than the dd6

Get a board, it's rubberized (sp?) and the pedals just sit on the board.

you could get stucky backed rubber mats and put them on a board that you build for yourself as well.
