I just don't really get why people want Dave's signature guitar so much. Yeah its cool and I would no doubt get one if I saw it cheap, but it's just too expensive when you can get a vintage Martin w/ brazilian rosewood that apreciates 17% every year for the same price. You could be playing the vintage guitar for 5 years and sell it and make $1000 for just having it.

having the dm3md is like having a sweet hot rod from the 60's that there are only 234 of. sure there are faster cars, but yours is the coolest and by no means slow.

financially i would never get one though

WHy play a guitar with somebody elses name on it? Just doesn't make sense no matter who it is.
Buy a less expensive guitar and have YOUR name put on the twelfth fret. :D

If you have been watching market prices for the DM3MD you will see that there was a run up in price a little over a year to year and a half ago. This model was selling for around $5,000+ to upwards of $6000. But they have not been moving at those prices lately. This one is a case in point...great number, apparently in good condition....with no bids and a "buy it now" price of $4000. Alot of people have said that in a few years the DM3MD will go for around $10,000. I don't see that happening at all.

it would not matter to me if someone elses name is on a guitar of that quality, thats for sure. it'll still make the same noise. put spongebob squarepants on it for all i care! im pretty sure whoever owns that guitar has no sense of sadness in there life, unless they somehow someway care about the imprint left in the wallet. squeeeak

Why hasn't this been sold yet? A $4000 Buy It Now price seems like a great deal.
