u are missing out on life in general. go down to a guitar center for a day and play every guitar thatm interests you at all. then keep a list of them and brief comments so if people post here and ask what you think of it you can remember. dont buy low end taylors, they are average.

He means low priced.

I think you're missing out on the wonderful deep and loud sound that martins have.

And the very wonderful fingerpicking sounds of a Taylor.

I find a martin/taylor doesnt sound as good at my guitar center, just imo, guitars sound different at the shop and at home.

you are missing out on a lot if you have never played a martin or a taylor. The cheapest taylor is about $560 for a 110 dreadnought. I like martin better in my opinion though.

i dont know if your looking for buying new stuff.. but there are other great brands other than martin and taylor. If your on a .... -$700 budget, dont think about these (for the most part)...
dont just think that if your getting a martin it will be specta-fabuloso.. because if its the cheapest cheapest martin....that doesnt mean it will be better than a takamine of the same price.
Martin and Taylor make GREAT guitars, but.. i dont think its personally worth it until plus +$700.
Thats just me.
Go to a guitar center and play every damn thing. You'll find something that suits you, and hopefully it will be in your price range...
unlike me.. who fell inlove with the 314ce (Taylor) and ... cant... afford... it. >.<
Unless you CAN afford good martins and taylors, in which case go for it you lucky bastard.
