guild was getting close to bankruptcy, and fender bought them to save their ass. Thanks to fender, they are back strong. Also, guilds aren't cheap, they are built well and are expensive. Also, they took old guilds, and modeled all the new ones off the old guitars, the original guilds, based off original guild designs, no new ones. Plus, when fender puts time and money into it, they build great quality. Plus, it's the same people who have been building guilds, not new ones. The only bad thing is no more De Armond and no more Bluesbirds, because they were not selling well, being too expensive. So, it's still guild, just funded by fender now, and they are ranking in big profits again.praisedave wrote:ahhhhhhh fender is taking over! the guitar world is ruined! *blows brain out with harpoon gun*

Also, sorry to steal the thread for a second, but juineaux you're one hell of a guitar player. I was listening to "Hey Joe" cover, lovin' the slide. & your instrumental "Water Song" is unbelievable...HCHaikuWarrior wrote:i vote taylor...martin is too bassy for me
