Rock the 12 String

Unread post by grock » Wed Mar 05, 2003 4:57 pm

I have been wanting to get a twelve string for about a year now. and i've played a couple in the store but i usually have borrowed a friends 1960's off brand guitar so i really don't know what's out there. i'm sure martin or taylor make a good guitar. i go to guitar center and they only have like 6 to choose from at any one time. so i was looking for any suggestions from you all. what 12 string guitars do you all own. (or dream about). i have been looking at a takamine and have played one but i just can't get over the fact that it is made in korea. and well the koreans are crazy. so anyways. any suggestions would be great.

oh and i'm looking to spend about $1000-1500 (USD) in july. word.

i dont like fender.. sorry.. comparing a fender to a taylor (which is but 2x more (and well worth it)) is in my opinion wrong..

unfortunately i dont have that kind of money to through around, i wasnt really comparing the two. for the price i paid for the fender, it was well worth it. i have other things i have to worry about more than guitar (like college). but i dont see why i would pay more money to buy a new 12 string when im perfectly happy with my fender
