i think ipods=toopricy you could say they were worth their pricetag if they were more reliable but i know people who have bought em and had the battery stop working or the faceplate break off within the first week or so.

That's weird...maybe they just hate you and your friends and family :P

Nah I've never known that to happen to anyone that has one...as a matter of fact I know someone who got hit by a car and fell on the pocket that it was in and it lived through it.

A battery not working isn't their fault but if a faceplate cracks, it had to be because they were doing something retarded.. I suggest the Ipod still..It's the best MP3 player for the money In my opinion

Yet another uninformed opinion :)

You can, of course, right-click in the "apple operating system". You can also have 3, 4, and 5-button mice.

You've never used it if it angers you, since everyone who ever has used it has found it to be user-friendly, easy-to-use, and stress-relieving :)

With regard to your original question, I have owned 2 iPods myself (and not because the first broke, I just passed it on to another family member :)). My family as a whole probably owns 15-20 (not my immediate family, my cousins and such), and not one has had battery problems or "faceplates falling off" (which I don't understand since the iPod doesn't have a faceplate). My first iPod (that I passed on) was over 2 and a half years old and still had the same battery performance as when I first bought it. Maybe just me, as well as the 50+ iPod owners I know are incredibly lucky?

im not uninformed, i have experience on macs and i do not like them. i was not however aware that you could right click and i thank you for that tidbit of knowledge. (does it work like a PC right click, dropping down a menu and such?) i believe that a person is more inclined towards the operating system you first learned on and i was only introduced to macs 2 yrs ago. but that is not the poin of this thread.

The faceplate on the ipod i guess isnt technically a "faceplate" because it wraps around the sides, but you know what i mean! that white plasitic jaunt on the front fell off exposing the inards! There was one particular version of the ipod where almost every single one of them lost their battery after 10 months. i'll find the link if you request it. My personal experience with the ipod is obviously very different than anyone esles, but im still not going to get one, even if based solely on the grounds that i cant afford it. I was just asking for your opinion i wasnt saying that Ipods were pieces of shit. I believe, as with most electronics, that you get what you put into them. If you take goodcare of it it will not break. and i do take good care of my belongings i just do not want an IPOD!

I think its pretty bad that all you big ol' bullies begin gangin up on me as soon as i exspress an opinion that differs from your own. I did nothing to attack anyone in this thread, nor was i arrogant, and i am flamed. i am 16 btw... not that it matters to you!

edit: btw, nobody has yet answered my question as to why the ipod is worth theextra mullah!
