Help me pick some light strings for a Yamaha F-310

Unread post by Dave4President » Thu Oct 28, 2004 2:09 pm

Hey guys, my little cousin is going to start learning to play the guitar  . His dad bought him a Yamaha F-310... not the best by any means but at least it's a start. I sanded down the bar a little bit to make the strings a little lower. I'm looking for a good set of light guage strings. What do you guys prefer? And I'd rather have a set of strings that sound better than play easier... the guitar needs all the help it can get. I was thinking maybe martin light SP's??? Let me know!, thanks.

elixirs are a good choice, some will argue.. they always do, heh, but they're easy to play with the coating and they last a lot longer than other strings!
