why gig bags suck

People always seem to be dropping their guitars when they are putting their guitar in a gigbag, or pulling them out. Today some guy was jamming with me and another guy, and while he was putting his guitar away it fell....right onto my guitar. :cry:

It dented my guitar up pretty bad(a mark for each fret), and large dent near the bottom. At least the guitar is structurally fine. Heres a picture:

I don't like gig bags either, but if i had more guitars and couldn't afford hard cases its better than nothing.
