DD6 and the DL4 are waaay different. I wouldn't compare the twoCarl_SWE wrote:The DD6 is cool! But if I pick one for free I'd rather go with a Line 6 DL4.everydayDMBfan_18 wrote:Go with the dd6 is what...40 more?
And yes the dd5 is gone
If you just want a weak delay then I'm sure the DD3 would be fine.

Why not compare them? Think of the DD6 as the DL4's baby.everydayDMBfan_18 wrote:DD6 and the DL4 are waaay different. I wouldn't compare the twoCarl_SWE wrote:The DD6 is cool! But if I pick one for free I'd rather go with a Line 6 DL4.everydayDMBfan_18 wrote:Go with the dd6 is what...40 more?

(You do know that the DD6 can loop stuff, don't you?)

i know, but i bought a different one at a shop, and i got it home and it makes a weird sound and stuff.
so im just returning it, and i can only get an exchange or in-store credit
so im gonna get ripped off hard core, but theres nothing i can do about it

Wait...their product blows and they're making buy something from their store? I'd bitch and complain to get my money back..no store credit shit. If they don't do that bitch and complain to match the pricecrash_in_to_me wrote:i know, but i bought a different one at a shop, and i got it home and it makes a weird sound and stuff.

well a return policy is a return policy
but i will definetly take in a musicians friend and see if they will match it
and it blows because i live 4 hours away from this shop, and i can get none of this stuff around my hometown because its so small... i could mail order but then i cant try it out
beh, and im not even going, my parents are going down there to exchange it, hopefully if an adult demands them to match the price or somthing they will

My thing is this...you didn't say eh, you know..I bought this but it's not really what I want. Then I can see them saying well, how about you return it for store credit and get something you want. But its not that. The thing was fucked up and they're holding your money hostage...AHH!!! lol. I didnt' even know companies were allowed to have a return policy like that. Don't you only see the return policy on the receipt...after you buy the fucking thing? You don't really have much say in it then. But yeah...that's rediculous. If they don't match the price, I don't know...go to the BBB or something

yeah, fuck it, its only money, and its only an extra 40 bucks, and hopefully they will match it because my parents will probably bitch
it is a great store too, excellent salespeople, but retail stores just cant compete with national mailorder.. its a shame
noone ever buy the danelectro dan-echo, i thought it was good quality when i played it in the store, but i got it home and it makes hissing noises, and i checked out some reviews and the quality was pretty much hit or miss.. and i talked to my cousin who has the same thing, and he loves it
beh, oh well

What's your point?crash_in_to_me wrote:looping is different from delay
yea the dd6 is 180 bucks at this store
thats really expensive
but i think im just gonna go with it
The DD6 can loop 5.2 seconds or something.
The DL4 can loop 14 seconds or something, plus it can overdub.
The DD6 has some delay effects and tap temp etc.
The DL4 has even more delay effects (including vintage delay effects).
The DD6 costs a lot.
The DL4 costs even more.
They are pretty much the same, the DL4 is only way bigger and better.

I had the Dan Echo at one time, and I never had problems with it. What kind of setup do you use?
