Future acoustic guitar
ive been hearing a lot lately about different models of guitars, and im wondering about what people think of the not so well known ones. when i get enough money to buy a nice guitar i dont want to get one when theres one that costs less thats better.. unfortunately most of the dealers for these guitars are a bit out of my way, but it would be worth it to find the right one. if you think taylor or martins better than the ones on the poll, just put it in a reply. out of taylor and martin i like taylor, but ive heard good things about the ones in the poll.

Know that there are different levels of quality in your poll:
Goodall, Collings, and Breedlove are probably of the highest quality.
Morgan comes pretty close.
Lowden and Larrivee are also phenomenal guitars, but they are sort of at the low end of the superpremium stuff.
Other guitars I would add to the list, especially if your looking at the lower end of the superpremium: Northwood, Lakewood, and Mcilroy, especially the Mcilroy if you're looking at a Lowden.
If you're looking at the higher end superpremium, I'd also consider Wingert guitars, and other well respected names like Langejans, Froggy Bottom, etc. There are so many great guitars out there made by smaller shops and it's hard to keep track of them all. Here are two of my favorite sites when it comes to serious guitars:

-best bet for serious quality without the serious price tag, with the best service in the buisness
http://www.guitargal.com/
-a host of the best names in the guitar industry. one of the largest selections of premuim guitars that i've seen on the web
Personally, I'm VERY intrigued by the Wingert guitars, specifically the E models, with some sort of Spruce top and a Cocobolo back. Now if I could just find $6,000 laying around my dorm room...

Dave's Lakewood M-32 is $1650 (regular price at Shoreline Music) but lists for $2050 which ain't cheap but it ain't too too bad.just42night wrote:I have a Taylor and a Martin but, I played a Lakewood it is a sweet guitar, you could see a picture of Dave playing one in L@LC Tab book, very easy to play and a nice deep sound more like the Martin, but they are not cheep.
its comparable to the 814 Taylor

no, lakewoods are not cheap, but they are a bargain. relative to other premium guitars, they are very cheap.
