Hey I'm 15 and looking to buy an acoustic electric guitar for 400-500 dollars with a sound that is near to Daves. If you have any ideas or suggestions I'd like to hear them.

you can get any guitar and buff it up with the right electronics and it will sound like Daves. Honestly, you cant do it with a regular guitar. Though, to get somthing close, get the epiphone chet. plug it in a electric amp but run it clean. Turn up the treble and lower the bass and you have an idea of what it may sound like.

for the dave sound... save your money and get talent, best advice I can give. Next best advice I can give you is that it's cool to play covers but after you learn your shit get your own sound.

The Epiphone Ceht will give you that bite that Dave had. No feedback and whatnot. Dont get an Epi acoustic.

Just get the best sounding guitar in your price range. Do yourself a favor and don't worry about what it says on the headstock. Go to a guitar store and play a bunch (if you can't play ask the salesmen or take a friend) and get the one that sounds best.
