reel-to-reel recorder question

ok, ive got this old revox b77 reel-to-reel tape recorder that my dad fixed up at some shop...and apparently they say it can be worth up to 1000 dollars because its vintage equipment. however, im not so sure about that value so im askin here: does anyone know anything about these types of recorders that they would be willing to share with me? better yet: does anyone want to buy this vintage BEAST. anything at all would be helpful. thanks.
