Wassup fans, Ive owned a Ibanez ael-20 for 2 years now and am looking for an acoustic-electric cutaway guitar with fuller sound in the $500-$750 range. Basically just want a better guitar that sounds great both acoustic and plugged in. You guys seem to know what you're talking about, so please give me your recomandations. Thanks in advance. PEACE

$500-$750? why not save up more and get a Taylor 300+ series guitar? itll be more worth it.

Takamine's are excellent guitars in and around that price range. But like shane said, if you want something for the money, go with either, Taylor or Martin's. There are other people would recommend other guitars, but if you want to stay in that price range, look at some Tak's and see what they have to offer :-P

yeah, generally you wont find a great pickup system in that pricerange unless you bought a guitar and then bought and installed a good one.

I recommend checking out Larrivee. To get a pick-up and cutaway you will probably be looking at a little more than your price range, but if you can do w/o the pick-up for now then you'll probably come in right around 750 for the 03 series.

i agree... for the price range i think you would get a better guitar with Larrivee then say a 300 series Taylor.... i never have been a big fan of the line... 400 and up.

My thought is to buy the absolutely best guitar you can for whatever your price range is and then buy a separate pickup later ... you'll get a better guitar and a better pickup.

I bought my LoPrinzi for $800 and had the pickup put in afterwards and I'm glad I did rather than going with a different guitar that probably would have been an inferior guitar or inferior pickups.

I recommend the Fishman Acoustic Matrix Natural II pickup.

Stay away from those shite-assed sound hole insert ones ... they = teh suck :)
