Are the U.S Highway 1 strats any good?

Unread post by Trippin Hillbilly » Wed May 12, 2004 8:02 am

I don't know much about electrics, i'm thinking about getting this for $599.
Anyone got one? Any good?
Please don't give me the whole 'Go to the store and try ever guitar' lecture. I know that, just want your opinions on this guitar.

Thanks.

sorry man...i've never played this strat

but overall, i've always been a fan of strats...and as long as it's made in the US and higher end, i think you should be straight...minus the blue ;)

I didn't really like them. Heh. Check out harmony-central.com for reviews...I've recommended 'em in countless threads, but go Godin or G&L.

i have the hwy 1 hss with a humbuckler pickup. i didn't want to comment since i don't have much experience with electric guitars. but i love mine. i just wish i had more time to play it.

if you go with the hwy 1 you should get it with a humbuckler for more versatility.

its a humbucker, named because it "bucks" the hum of a single coil by using two coils to cancel the hum out. just trying to save you from making a fool when you go to the guitar shop or talk with friends.

I just got one Today and I love it. It's my first electric, so I'm new to this. Anyways I went to Sam Ash in Charlotte, NC and tried a few different electrics. An Artcore a Tele, and SG, lower end guitars, higher end guitars, and I like this. Great first electric.

EDIT: I also say go with the Humbuckers.
