Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

tell em you want your action as low as it can get without buzzing hehe. specify what strings you want, let em clean it if ya want.

If you ask them "as low as it can go without buzzing," you're gonna get the eye roll. Just tell them the gauge string you use and if your a heavy or light strummer. They may ask you to play the guitar for them so they can determine how hard you play.

When I get Corey at Good & LouD Music to set up my guitars: He checks the neck, and the bridge, sees if there is any problems, then he just fiddles with his tool box, adjusts the bridge (if it's one of my electrics), then if the neck is slightly twisted, he straightens it as much as possible. He looks to make sure the frets are fine. He will lower or raise the action if I want it, then he will check out the tuning while all of it is going on, to make sure that the adjsutments worked or not. Oh yeah, normaly I have him put on a new set of strings too. I have never had problems with my electronics, so I don't know about that with Corey.

depending on what needs to be done, he charges me between 15-40 bucks. He is damn good, Corey should be cloned and sent to the crappy guitar centers you guys seem to talk about.
