pickup installation

Unread post by jojo321 » Mon Apr 26, 2004 9:10 pm

well i was at the music shop the other day and i was looking at some guitars that had pickups. and the guy told me that it would be better to just have a pickup installed, rather than get a new guitar all together.

he said that mine would sound better than all of the other guitars also because it doesnt have a cut-out

well i am not too smart when it comes to PURCHASING guitars and the such so any thoughts would be appreciated

btw
the cost of installation is $109 + tax

What guitar do you have? What pickup are you looking at? Does the $109 include the cost of the pickup? That seems pretty high if it's just installation, considering I put in my own pickup in about 20 minutes for free.

if it is 109 just for the install then you would be getting ripped; however, if that includes a decent pickup (pref. fishman) then its not a bad deal. If your guitar is an entry level guitar though, might not be worth it.
