Dealer, no. They only made 234 of them and they sold out very quickly, every now and then one will appear on ebay but you really cant get one for less than $5000.00 it seems

get in line every few weeks we find someone that wants to buy one. Your best bet is Ebay. Think about getting another guitar if you wanna spend that much money.

With all that money, why not customize one yourself for somehting made to your standards, not somoene else? You can add your own inlays, or such.

By the way, I called Martin Guitars (the main company) and they told me that they will build anyone a guitar with the exact specifications as the DM3MD...same dimensions, wood, bracing, tuners, etc....except it will not have the Dave Matthews signature on the fretboard, or the autographed certificate inside the soundbox. They said that they are getting quite a number of inquires of this nature.

They would not give me a price because they are not allowed to quote prices...for that I would have to go to a Martin Dealer...which I haven't gotten around to doing.

probably costs a hell of a lot less that a DM3MD... and you could get whatever inlay you wanted

Hmm... that's an idea for when I actually have some money. I absolutely love the Paduak (my favorite part of the DM3MD), and I would probably change a few things....hmm.... something to think about, thanks danny!

I was thinking about getting a custom guitar before I got my Taylor, and Martin custom orders take a long long time like about a year for them to start making it. Taylors are faster but aren't taking customs right now due to their 30th and all the limiteds they are currently making.
