Whats on your pedal boards?

Unread post by Pickles » Tue Apr 13, 2004 3:33 pm

now im not expecting this to be an overly popular thread seeing as how this is mainly acoustic players here, but some have pedal boards anyway. looking specifically for chorus, reverb, distortion, delay, EQ.

I have a Digital Delay, Loop Sampler (DL4), Distortion, Chorus, Flange, Octave and a Tuner. I use them all with My acoustic guitars or my electric guitars.

my "pedal board" consists of a BOSS GT6 and a DL4.. the GT6 covers the whole lots of BOSS pedals (and a preamp modeler) in one (cheaper) package.. but there is something to be said for having all the stomp boxes in hand (adjusting parameters is slightly less convienant, mostly if you do it on-the-fly and don't know what you want until you are standing there playing)

Here is my rig

Guitar --> TU2 Tuner --> Morley Little Alligator Volume Pedal --> Sansamp Acoustic DI Line In --> (Out from Effects Loop) --> AC2 Acoustic Simulator --> DD6 Delay -->back to the Sansamp Loop IN --> Amp or PA

I power them all with a Visual Sound OneSpot. I intend to get an H20 Chorus/Echo this summer, if i don't get a holoowbody electric first. probably a gibson.

I made my pedal board out of an old suitcase so it has a lot of character... I may also get a wah wah after i get that electric, possibly trading in the volume for a Volume/Wah combo deal. and most probably a morley again. they seem cooler.

the AC2 really cuts down the Piezo quack especially coupled with the Sansamp. I use it as a switch to give more acoustic through the system and then when i play a solo I turn it off and get more treble. It's not very good at making an electric sound like acoustic but awesome at making an acoustic even better. everyone here has enough experience talking about the delay so i won't say anything.

aww you do the AW thing? sorry... i find that cheating. oh well, to each his own.

anyway, how do you like the overdrive, distortion, and octave pedals? im gonna try to find a used DD-5 when i go for delay, but i need to look for other pedals too.

i have a rewired ibanez tubescreamer and its fucking awesome...lets ust say i would use the boss over the ibanez, its that good. as for the distortion pedal goes...im not huge on distortion, use it mainly for soloing and stuff, dont use it too much so im not use for advice there...there octave is alright but i bet there is a better one out there, i dont use it as often as id like...i highly reccommend any delay pedal from boss, i love my dd-6, for guitar and i have one for vocals..its pretty sweet. and the aw...yes i cheat haha well not really, i got it mainly because it has lots of functions, liek vowel sounds and all other kinds of wah...i have a morley wah but surprisingly i liek the auto wah...i dont do much wah solos so for rythm and riffs its great, hope that helps...for more info go to rolandus.com and check out their pedal simulator. you can hear dems and make combos of most of their pedals..its pretty sweet..peace, keep it steller

I have the TS9 distortion and I don't like it! Maybe I just haven't found the right settings for my tastes yet. I just use my footswitch and use the overdrive channel on my amp (marshall MG50dfx combo) and I really like that. As for the rest of my pedals I have a dulop crybaby wah and a BOSS Super Chorus which sounds great with my acoustic.
