I have seen the light!

Just converted from elixers to D'addrio EXP's. Wow, tone is better, the strings have texture and so does my sound. The only possibility of me not liking them is if they break often. And I may have to wait awhile to find that out.

on the other hand, i just put a new set of elixirs on today for the first time in like half a year and they sound incredible. :)

I agree with the Jeff man, but to each his own.

Cheers on the Trey orgasm photo, by the way.

See i just tried D'addario EXPs on my guitar and while they sound great I just prefer the sound of my elixirs. I think it just depends on your guitar and what sound you like.

As said above, to each his own.

EXPs are the way to go the Elixers are just to slimy.
If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But ONLY if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

I used to be a hardcore Elixir user. I started using DR mediums. They are wonderful and I will never switch again!

LOL, yeah that can be pretty frustrating more than anything. I'm playing with D'Addario's, but I use to be all about Elixir's, and I would still use them, but I'm stuck on my EXP's right now ;-)

daddarios sound really good , but they die quickkkkly (theyll sound good for a couple of days, then sound like crap, then once in a while sound good again)
and personally, i have problems with them breaking, even when i switched from extra lights to lights...

this is all from personal expereince tho

The elixir nanowebs are the way to go w/o question! They are slick, but its not to the point where its so slick you cant control ( ie polyweb :) ) and they have a sound of their own. I tried D'Addrio's, yes they have a great, loud tone and sound, yet they died after a month. I switched to elixirs and will never switch back. They provide a great sound and are very, very durable. :D

I play D'addarios and they die within two weeks at the most and I still won't use Elixer's.
